2.5 Year Old Bull Hunts

This is a half-day hunt.

These bulls are filled out and heavy through the shoulder, yet still carry the tenderness and table quality of a younger bull. They’re the middle ground between prime eating and a wall-worthy trophy. The hide is in excellent condition and carries the character of the open range. Making a beautiful robe or an impressive head mount.

Hunts begin at 8:00 A.M. Only one 2 1/2 year-old bull is taken on any given day.

Our herd roams across more than 11,000 acres. Our experienced guides stay with you every step of the way, reading the country, tracking the herd and helping you make the most of your hunt.

Bison are tough animals, taking them down can be challenging even to an experienced hunter. Our guides will get you positioned so when that moment comes you’ll be ready to take that shot. A .30 caliber or larger rifle is required, solid bullets such as Nosler Solid, Barnes Banded Solid, or North Fork Technologies Solids are highly recommended.

Our guides will field dress your bison, pack it with ice and haul it back to our Bison Ops building where we will load it onto your open bed pickup or trailer. All lodging, meals, processing and taxidermy fees, arrangements and delivery are the responsibility of the hunter. We suggest scheduling in advance as it is also hunting season. A 50% deposit of your total is due at the time of booking. The remainder of your balance may be paid upon arrival to the ranch the morning of your hunt. Payments accepted via personal check or card (cards incur an additional 3% transaction fee). Cancellations received prior to May 1st of the year of your hunt will be refunded in full; any date after that a $500 cancellation fee will apply and the remainder will be refunded to the hunter. No permit is required for our hunts. What a great alternative if you didn't draw your elk tag!
